We're a group of volunteers based in the Birken area. We organize events, provide affordable rentals of community equipment, manage the Gates Lake Park, and advocate for the beautiful area that we live in and love.

We look after the Gates Lake Park to make it an accessible spot for all locals to enjoy the lake. As a part of it, we keep up all the facilities, provide fun toys for kids to play with, and advocate for further improvements.

The BRCS works on a lot of projects around the clock in effort to make improvements to the area:
Trails - advocating for new trails, Cool Creek maintenance, etc.
Playground for the park - working with SLRD
Toy library at the park - supplying toys and building a house for them
Shed upgrades at the park - new siding & roof
